CLOSING THE DOOR AGAINST EVIL
Memorise:  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19
Read: Isaiah 49:25–26

The world is full of evil. Just listen to the news today and you will hear all manner of stories of horrors such as armed-robbery, looting, kidnapping, betrayal, persecution, terrorism, ritual killing, cannibalism and a host of others. There is hardly a nation on earth where heinous crimes are not committed on a daily basis. Evil is manifested in different shades and colours. Some are violent, crude and horrific while others are subtle, mild and deceptive. They may be emotional or psychological; physical or spiritual. Evil is perpetrated at domestic, community, local and international levels. The situation is perplexing. Peace is a scarce commodity nowadays. Many people live in fear, torment, horror and anxiety. However, for a heaven-bound Christian, the story is not one of hopelessness. We have reasons to rejoice because there is light at the end of the tunnel, Colossians 2:15 says: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ paid the supreme price for our peace. His death, resurrection and ascension to heaven were all geared towards our peace. Through His death and resurrection, He obtained permanent victory over the devil and his cohorts. The author of all evil is the devil. He is assisted by principalities and powers. Since Christ has destroyed the devil (Hebrews 2:14), and has triumphed over principalities and powers, the easiest way for a person to close the door against evil is by surrendering his or her life to Jesus. Be born-again. Jesus is more than enough to take care of your fears and anxieties. You can also close the door against evil when you abstain from all appearances of evil. Evil has the tendency to boomerang. Those who do evil, end up attracting evil to themselves. To close the door against evil therefore, do good to others. Be good and kind to members of your family, relatives, friends and acquaintances. Be kind, even to those who persecute you and perpetrate evil against you. There is a user of this devotional, who has been betrayed severally by friends and loved ones. You can close the door to all the evil in your life by forgiving all your offenders and being nice to them. Many people are living under a curse. The good news is that the anointing destroys curses. You can also close the door against evil through aggressive prayers. Pray aggressively against witchcraft attack and destiny destroyers.

Action Point: Close the door against all evil by putting on the whole armour of God and confronting evil headlong. Begin today. God bless you as you share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HUSTLER OR ENTREPRENEUR?

Earlier today, I asked friends on my Whatsapp time-line the difference between a Hustler and an Entrepreneur. Of course, there was a plethora of answers as different people gave very distinct meanings in response. What surprised me the most was that no two people gave the same answer. Everyone had a distinct point of view.
However, for the sake of clarity and simplicity I decided to curate most of the responses as well as my personal observations into an article.
First and foremost, a Hustler is someone who "make strenuous efforts to obtain" money or profit from different areas or businesses engagements. An entrepreneur however is one who starts a business (or businesses), manages it to produce tangible value and make profit from it.
You see, it's easy to assume there's not much difference between the two personalities but there are.
While Kemi, a LASU Undergraduate perceives the difference in the freedom an Entrepreneur enjoys compared to a Hustler, Success, a Bl…

Personal Growth 101

The first time many of us heard the word 'growth' was most likely in basic school where it was described as one of the characteristics of living things. Thereafter, it seemed the word almost disappeared from our vocabularies.
What is growth anyway? Growth is simply the process you go through to become your true and best self. It is the season between birth and fulfilment. This short piece, of course, can't explain everything about growth but it'll suffice to give you a head-start and set you on the never-ending  journey of personal growth.
First, we need to understand that life is really all about growth. A man once said "Development of character is the main business of life". How true! The essence of our existence is that we keep growing into our true and best selves.
It is also important that we realize that growth is intentional. Wee don't grow by simply living, by accident or chance. Growth is intentional. Some erroneously believe we grow automat…

Sharpen your Axe: How Personal Development Can Simplify Your Life

"If I had six hour to chop down a tree, I'd spend the first four hours sharpening the axe." - Abraham Lincoln
An axe is a cutting tool that consists of a heavy edged head fixed to a handle with with the edge parallel to the handle that is used especially for felling trees and chopping wood (Merriam Webster Dictionary). The axe is considered one of the most effective traditional tools for cutting trees. To effectively carry out this duty for which it is made, the edge of the axe must be well sharpened so it could cut through the wood with ease.
In this context, your axe is the potential, gifts, talents and resources available to you as an individual. Your axe is the tool available to you to solve any problem. This could be your degrees, talents, inherent potential, knowledge or any other thing at your disposal.
"If the ax is dull,  And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength;  But wisdom brings success" - Ecclesiastes 10:10 An axe, when it…
